1-25

Been trying to sleep but it seems the sea gods have other ideas, just as I go out the boat slams into a bigger wave. We have been in 5-8ft seas all day since leaving at 7:30 AM.  When we left the wind was at 72deg and we went ahead and pointed up to 125 to 135 making some easting early, however the west setting current was causing us around 15 to 20 degrees leeway making us slam bow first into the seas. Thankfully at sundown the moon negated some of the current and we also fell off the wind to 149 making the ride much nicer.  As they say if you think you need to reef then do it, this served me well due to a line of squalls heading our way. With one reef in the main and the mizzen rolled up along with some Genoa we saw 32 knots for a while. Raindancer was like a dancer with to much rum and could not stay on her feet.  After things calmed down a bit, more reefing was in order and she got back on her feet and still is hitting 6.8 knots. . Sailing under a full moon its almost like daytime, I hope Randy has on his moonscreen. We are now off St Eustaia .
